2019 Summer Wrap-Up
Published: September 25, 2019It’s been a crazy, fun-filled and memorable summer at Boardwalk. Between barbecues, pool parties and patio hangouts, it’s been jam-packed with fun. As the season comes to an end, and we soak up the last bits of sun, let’s take a look back at all the amazing memories we’ve made.
Regina and Saskatoon
Residents had a blast at Qu’Appelle Village’s barbecue and open house. Everyone who attended was treated to some juicy hot dogs and burgers straight off the grill. The children especially enjoyed the face paint artist

Boardwalk was a proud sponsor of the 2019 Saskatoon Pride Festival. Associates and residents were invited to walk in the parade in support of the LGBTQ+ community.

Calgary
Varsity Square, Vista Gardens, Westwinds Village and many other communities were treated to a classic summer barbecue, complete with a bouncy castle and live music. Some even had balloon and face paint artisits!

To celebrate the Calgary Stampede, residents were invited to the Calgary Zoo for a traditional stampede breakfast.

Our Boardwalk Retirement Community held an outdoor tea party hosted by The Travelling Tea Cups. Residents enjoyed some delicious macarons, scones and pastries while listening to live music.

O’Neil Tower apartment residents were invited to a rooftop pool party to celebrate the community’s newly completed renovations.

Edmonton
Edmonton residents were treated to outdoor movie nights this year. Couples and families enjoyed some tasty cotton candy and popcorn before settling down to watch a movie outside.

Park Place Tower held a party to celebrate the end of renovations. Residents were invited to view the newly modernized lobby, Experience Centre and patio while enjoying some delicious food and Rosso coffee.

London and Kitchener
Heritage Square, Noel Meadows and Maple Ridge on the Parc each held their own summer parties this year. Residents and their families enjoyed delicious hot dogs and burgers, grilled by our very own Boardwalk associates. There was also a balloon artist, face paint artist, bouncy castle and cornhole available at each event to keep the kiddos (and adults) busy.

The sun was shining at our Sizzling Summer Barbecue at Landmark Towers. Apartment residents enjoyed delicious hot dogs, burgers and drinks while getting to know their neighbours in the warm summer heat.

Quebec
Longueuil residents came out to Domaine d’Iberville to have some fun in the sun and to celebrate summer’s end. Residents and associates enjoyed delicious hot dogs, fresh corn on the cob, cotton candy, popcorn and refreshments while getting to know their apartment neighbours.

As barbecue season comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who made these events a success. We’re looking forward to hosting some fall-themed events in the coming months! Keep an eye on bwalk.com for upcoming events in your region.
