Declutter | Diabetes Canada
Published: December 10, 2018Boardwalk is a proud partner of the Canadian Diabetes Association’s Declutter program. Established in 1985, the program offers Canadians the opportunity to donate their gently used clothing, small household items and electronics. 100% of the proceeds raised from the Declutter program directly support the Canadian Diabetes Association and diabetes research, education and advocacy.
Our Boardwalk communities have been contributing to this program since 2016. Every pound of clothing going towards sponsoring children living with Type-1 Diabetes to attend one of The Canadian Diabetes Association’s many D-Camps.
We encourage all Boardwalk Residents and Associates to contribute to our blue and white bins.
Acceptable donation items include:
- Accessories and bags
- Clothing (All types)
- Curtains
- General household textiles (towels, blankets, sheets)
- Shoes and boots
- Sleeping bags
Please refrain from adding the following items to the blue and white bins:
- Electronics & sports equipment
- Organic & hazardous materials
- Any other textile items that do not fit inside the bin
