Coldest Night of the Year
Published: February 7, 2019The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a family-friendly walk-a-thon that raises money for local charities serving the homeless. The fund-raising initiative encourages Canadians to step outside the comfort of their homes and walk through the cold and dark. Through this walk, The Coldest Night of the Year hopes to shine light into the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness during the winter.
The walk takes place every year in 136 communities across Canada. Participants are asked to register online to walk 2, 5 or 10 km on a safe, looping route. Boardwalk will cover the registration fee for all Residents and Associates who would like to be a part of Team Boardwalk. As CNOY is a family-friendly event, people of all ages are encouraged to participate.
Boardwalk is proud to be a lead sponsor of the walk-a-thon in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and London. This year’s run will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019. To learn more about The Coldest Night of the Year, and how you can get involved, click here.
