Maple Taffy in YEG
Published: March 13, 2019Last month, Edmonton Residents joined us for more winter festivities – this time with Maple Sugar Shacks!

Maple Syrup Taffy is a classic Canadian treat. Called “Cabane à Sucre” in Québec, the delicious French-Canadian tradition involves pouring boiling maple syrup into a bed of fresh snow and swirling the hardened taffy around a popsicle stick.

Les Bucherons catered the events at various apartment and townhome communities across YEG. The Edmonton based company encourages others to understand the traditions and cultural diversity that make Canada a unique country.

Residents also had the chance to sit down with a local caricaturist for a personalized, one-of-a-kind sketch!

Everyone had a blast taking part in the Canadian tradition. Keep an eye out for future maple syrup taffy events popping up in other Boardwalk communities!
