The Ultimate Super Bowl Party

Super Bowl 2019 is a little over a week away! It’s the perfect day to overindulge in food, watch some funny commercials and mutter over the fact that your team didn’t make it to the end. Before the touchdown celebrations begin, you’ll need to prep your Boardwalk apartment for the big game!

First and Foremost – Food!

A Super Bowl party would be nothing without delicious food and snacks, as well as awesome drinks. Wings, spinach dip, jalapeno poppers, and pizza are always crowd pleasers. Make sure you’re aware of food allergies before hitting the grocery store.

Remember to also stock up on ice. You can pick up some packs of water bottles and place them in the cooler for your guests. Some H2O will keep your guests hydrated and in good spirits – it’s also a good idea if people are drinking alcohol. For those who aren’t drinking, make sure to pick up an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages.

Who Should You Invite?

The number of people may depend on the size of your Boardwalk apartment or townhome. A group that is just enough to get a lot of talk and laughter, but small enough that you don’t have to keep checking in on everyone is ideal.

It’s also nice to let your let your neighbours know in advance if you plan on throwing a party.

Prepping Your Apartment

There should be enough seating, so most people have a place to sit. Also, double-check that you have enough toilet paper stocked, your soap dispensers contain soap, and all walking areas are free from clutter. It’s always a nice gesture to make sure the refrigerator has extra room and is presentable – guests may show up with appetizers or drinks and need a cold place to store it.

If you want to decorate, you could purchase some AstroTurf or make little drink koozies. Streamers and banners are always super fun – get creative!  

Have a Plan for the Kids

If your guests are bringing their children, prepare some entertainment to keep them happy and busy during the game. You can set up board games, have movies available, and a comfortable space to lounge. Colouring books are another great way to keep the kiddos busy while you watch the game.

Most Importantly…

Never let your guests drive home under the influence of alcohol. If you are serving alcohol at your party, make sure each of your friends has a safe ride home.
